The Refab workshop has been a buzz with activity! We are just loving the cold weather in a weird way because it gives us more time to line up new projects and refine our chalk painting skills. If you need something to distract you from all the noise and news out there today. How about painting a new End Table for your living room or a Nightstand for your bedroom? It doesn't take very much time or space for that matter. In order to paint properly, you need your space to stay above 65 degrees(in order for the paint to dry). But even if you don't have a basement, most end tables could fit on top of your kitchen table or even in the living room on a coffee table. (You can put the table on the floor but it is easier on the back if it is up). It will only take a few hours to complete the project with a few breaks built in for drying time. To paint any End Table/Nightstand you will only need 2 cups of Latex paint and 3 Tablespoons of Plaster of Paris and bam! You have chalk paint!! You can easily find the recipe on line with a simple search for "Homemade Chalk Paint Recipe". If you need more advise feel free to ask us and we will talk you through the whole process and offer lots of tips!
We have a whole selection of unfinished end tables, each selling for $10. It is not just a fun way occupy your mind during the winter but a great way to get your feet wet with DIY chalk painting. And trust me, once you get started it will become an obsession!!
We also have a few finished end tables to check out for inspiration or purchase. Finished tables $50 each.
